You’ve registered with the ICB, you registered on the ICB Learner Portal and you’re staring at the portal’s home page. Now what? How do you actually use this tool? This article will give you a brief overview of the portals pages and their uses.
What Pages are on the Portal?
The ICB Learner Portal has six areas that you can access. These are:
- Enter assessment
- Register for course
- View my reports
- Order products
- Update my details
Each of these pages lets you manage a part of your studies. We’ll be taking a look at each of these pages.

Study accredited ICB courses in the comfort of your own home and at your pace. They also offer short courses, courses you can study without matric and National Diploma courses.
There is not much you can do on your home page other than accessing the other pages of the portal. There is some interesting and useful information displayed in the two blocks on the screen, however. The courses you are registered for will also appear as a list on this page.
The page will only become useful once you have signed up for a course. Once you have signed up you will be able to use this page to register for your exams. Click on the top dropdown bar and select your subject. Next, you will click on the second dropdown bar and select the venue closest to you. You will see that on the right-hand side all the fees are added together to show you how much you need to pay. You can click on the checkout button to go to the payment methods.
Register for Course
On this page, you can select which course or courses you would like to register for. All you need to do is click on the Register button under the correct course. Next, you will need to look through the list and select the training provider you are using. Once you have done so you are officially registered for that course.
View my Reports
This page quite simply lets you keep track of your results. Once you have written an ICB exam and the results are released, this is where you will come to find yours.
This is the checkout page. From here you can make your payments for your course and exam fees, as well as any other fees you need to pay to the ICB. After you make sure that everything is in order, you will need to fill in your billing information. After you have done so you can move to the payment method. Payments can be made in one of three ways. You can either use an EFT, a credit card, or you can pay using Snapscan.
Update my Details
On this page, you can correct, add or change the details that you entered when you registered to use the portal. There are some places where you cannot change the information. You will probably not need this page unless you move or some major changes happen.
This brief overview of the portal will help you to easily navigate through it. It is a very simple little tool but it is very powerful if you use it correctly. From registering with the ICB to checking your results, this portal does it all.
